Congratulations to Zone 3 member, James Arrigon, on receiving the second annual Naomi Blumenthal Memorial Training Grant!
“I’m very appreciative to USHJA for the award, but it is especially meaningful to win because Naomi was a friend and colleague in the horse business," said Arrigon. "She urged me to pursue a judge’s card years ago when I was too busy and just trying to raise a family and make a living. Naomi spent her life in service to IHSA and USHJA, and I am humbled to benefit from her legacy."
MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Applications Open February 1
The MZ Farms/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program will be offering a riding-focused portion and a stable management-focused program. A $50 application fee is required for either session. Applicants must also complete the Horsemanship Quiz Challenge Level One Quiz with a score of 80% or higher, no later than April 1, 2023.

Recognized Riding Academy
The USHJA Recognized Riding Academy Program acknowledges lesson programs, riding facilities, equestrian schools, and other types of educational equestrian programs that emphasize horsemanship and sportsmanship, promote safety, and offer introductory Hunter/Jumper lessons.
