Virginia Pony Breeders Association

The Virginia Pony Breeder’s Association is pleased to announce the VPBA Champions from this year’s USEF Pony Finals, presented by Honor Hill Farms. Virginia-bred ponies were well represented at this prestigious event.

Heart To Forget, ridden by Ava Crolick, was the Champion Medium Pony and Overall Grand Champion Virginia Bred Pony. The 21-year-old gelding (Lemontree Sea Captain x  Benlea Tempo) is owned by Katherine Cotton and was bred by the Estate of Margaret Z. Raymond. Congratulations to all his connections!

On July 16-18, 2022, the SWVHJA hosted a clinic at Ashley Holsinger’s farm, Memory’s Hill Farm in Waynesboro, Virginia for Junior, Amateur and Professional riders. The clinicians, Tom Brennan, Miranda Scott, Dale Crittenberger and Drew Taylor covered the following topics in a mounted and unmounted session:

• How to Best Prepare and Present your Horse for Competition
• The Judge’s Perspective - Performance and Scoring

“I have never heard of another organization being so proactive for their membership.” Clinician, Brennan, said of the opportunity given to fellow members.
