2024 Host Applications are OPEN and Due June 1

Online applications for USHJA championships, special classes and other programs at the zone and national levels in the 2024 competition year close June 1. The following are currently open:

National and Regional

• 2024 USHJA International Hunter Derby Classes
• 2024 USHJA World Championship Hunter Rider Events, including the 2024 West Coast Spectacular and Central Spectacular
• 2024 USHJA Outreach Competitions - apply all year!
• 2024 USHJA Gladstone Cup Equitation Classic for Amateurs
• 2024/2025/2026 Standlee/USHJA National Hunter Derby Regional Championships
• 2024/2025/2026 Platinum Performance/International Hunter Derby Regional Championships
• 2024/2025/2026 Platinum Performance/Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships

• 2024 Handy Hunter Challenges for Zones 1, 4, 6, 7 and 9

Quick Tips for Your Application 

1. Log in to your USHJA Member Portal
2. Click the "USHJA Host Application for Programs" button under Quick Actions
3. Click the red "New Application" button on the right
4. Select the program or competition you'd like to host from the dropdown
5. Fill out the application and checkout!

New Eligibility Requirements for Foreign Participants

Beginning September 1, 2023, foreign participants must be USEF Competing Members, and those 18 years of age and older must complete SafeSport Training. Read more.

Add the USHJA Jumper Classic

☑️ Offer Jumper riders competing from 1.10m to 1.40m an opportunity to earn additional prize money, Zone HOTY bonus points, and awards and recognition 

☑️ Offer whichever level(s) best complement your competition

☑️ No separate application! Simply include the information in your show's license and prize list information

☑️ May be held as an overlay with another class (prize list must indicate that the Classic will be an overlay with a breakdown of entry fee and prize money distribution)

☑️ Saddle pad vouchers are provided for the class winner to redeem through USHJA

UPDATED! USHJA National Hunter Derby Declaration Form

The USHJA National Hunter Derby Declaration Form has been updated! Riders MUST complete and sign the form in order to receive points. Find the new form here. 

National Economic Impact Study

The American Horse Council is kicking off what could be one of the biggest studies in its more than 50 years with the 2023 National Economic Impact Study, which will examine the effect the U.S. horse industry has on the economy.
