Applications Open for Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program

Apply to participate in a Lindsay Maxwell Charitable Fund/USHJA Emerging Athletes Program Regional Training Session this year!

The EAP was created to provide opportunities for young riders to advance their horsemanship education and riding skills. Educational Regional Training Sessions with some of the sports top clinicians are held across the country each year. View the full calendar. Applications close April 1.

Find a USHJA Outreach Competition Near You

The USHJA Outreach Program has been established to engage and connect Hunter and Jumper riders, trainers and horse owners with the USHJA.

Outreach provides an opportunity to participate in USHJA branded classes and competitions, earn points toward year-end awards, and to earn the chance to participate in the USHJA National Championships.

The USHJA Hunter Team Challenge will return in 2022 with a few changes. Save the date for the Challenge near you:

The USHJA Wheeler Museum: Iconic Horse Shows

Did you know that the Upperville Colt and Horse Show was first held in 1853 and is the oldest horse show in the US? Learn more about the common traditions that shape today’s shows and the signature features developed by Iconic Horse Shows across the country in the video tour of “A Sporting Tradition.”

If you have stories, images, or artifacts that document unique contributions to our sport by your association or region, consider contributing them to the Wheeler Museum collection. Contact the curator, Denise Quirk, at dquirk@ushja.org, with any questions.
