✅ I compete in both Hunters and Jumpers mostly at the local level with A shows as time and finances have allowed. I've helped run Outreach shows, judged schooling shows and groomed for a few trainers. I now show in the Long Stirrup division as I just don't bounce as well as I used to! I love the barn family I belong to, and have tried to give back by helping kids get into this sport by offering my horses to them to ride and learn on.
I enjoy the level of competition at Outreach shows— serious, high level, clear rules/expectations, emphasis on safety and fun. The medals are a fun part that challenge riders in a great format.
I love being a USHJA Outreach member to be able to get to compete at a sport I've loved for a lifetime, against other passionate kids and adults in a safe and professional environment while being rewarded for my accomplishments.
