On July 1, following our Benefit Show, MHJA hosted a clinic with Sami Milo. Sami, from Rocklin, California, is the owner and trainer of Cavallo Farms, a USEF/USHJA rated Hunter judge, and a successful rider in the Hunter, Hunter Derby, and Jumper rings. She was also our show judge for Saturday and Sunday in the Hunter Ring. Monday dawned with sunshine and blue skies but by 2 p.m. the predicted rain arrived at the beautiful Rebecca Farm location. The clinic was fun, educational, packed with information, and well attended. Everyone left with some knowledge of what they needed to work on and how to achieve the desired results. Sami proved to be an outstanding clinician and created practice jumps and courses for both Hunters and Jumpers. A big "Thank You" to Zone 9 for giving MHJA the Educational Grant for 2024. This grant covered the costs for all riders and a pizza lunch for everyone there! With grants such as this, USHJA helps promote the Hunter/Jumper sport in the true grassroots regions of the country. Thank You to Sami Milo and Zone 9 for our hugely successful clinic!
