SSEA held a clinic for members focused on bits in July. Participants learned about the types of bits, what the function of each bit is, the history of bits in the Hunter/Jumper arenas, and what types are appropriate for each ring. SWS trainer Bailey Fuller conducted the clinic. She used an impressive inventory of bits from multiple disciplines to demonstrate the vast variety of bits riders and trainers have available to them, and guided members through understanding how uniquely horses respond to different bits.
