✔The KHJA was established as a non-profit 501(c) 3 in 1965 by a few dedicated horsemen and women to further the sport of Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
✔The very first KHJA Horse Show was held in 1981 at the Kentucky Horse Park in what is presently known as the Dressage Ring. Today, the KHJA Horse Show is a prominent fixture on the "A" circuit drawing over 1,000 entries to the Horse Park each August with horses and riders competing in five and sometimes six rings simultaneously over four days! This horse show is still the main fundraiser for the organization.
