The USHJA Board of Directors elected Britt McCormick for the position of President of USHJA during the Board of Directors meeting on September 11. After a 15-month transition period, McCormick will take office at the conclusion of the 2024 USHJA Annual Meeting.
"I'm really excited for the opportunity," McCormick said. "If at the end of my term, we are more collaborative as an association; we have identifiable sport growth at every level, including the elite level; and we are providing the services that our members expect, I'll be happy."

Congratulations to Aubrey Jones for being the highest cumulative pointed Gold level Outreach rider in Zone 3. The honor awards each recipient a unique experience during the Marshall & Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships including the opportunity to compete in the Affiliate sections, present awards with USHJA Executive Director Kevin Price and President Mary Knowlton, walk a course with top riders, and attend educational sessions.

Secret Agent (*Rotherwood Bo Jangle x Shelby Secret by Farnley Belshazzar) The 3-year-old gelding was bred by Barbara J. Chappell, of Warrenton, Virginia, and owned by Alexis Hutchens of Midway, Kentucky. The pony placed first, second and third in the three classes of the division for 5 Year Old's and Under. Ridden by Hadley Hoeft of Anthem, Arizona, Secret Agent was named Champion of his division and Overall High Point Virginia Bred Pony.
The 35th South West Virginia Hunter Jumper Association Annual Show & Medal Final will be held October 26-29 at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia.
