Save the Date for the Marshall & Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships
Returning to Las Vegas November 14-20, 2022, pending USEF approval, the Marshall & Sterling Insurance/USHJA National Championships are unlike any other championship experience currently offered for the Hunter and Jumper disciplines.
Riders will compete for National titles in their sections and Horse of the Year points while enjoying a unique venue.
Join us in celebrating the true heroes of our sport! These devoted equines contribute to the development of top riders, the sport, and lifelong equestrians.

Frizz is the best pony in the world! We always joke that he is old enough to have been on the ark with Noah and taught George Washington how to ride! Frizz has the unique ability to be absolutely amazing with experienced riders while testing and challenging beginner riders. Frizz is best at teaching the foundations and preparing riders physically and mentally. In 2021, Frizz competed in his first A-rated division, the medium green ponies at 2'6", at the age of 34! In 2019, Frizz was the IHSA Horse of the Show at Louisiana State University and Horse of the Zone in IEA Zone 7!
Deadlines Approaching for the Markel/USHJA Zone Jumper Team and Platinum Jumper Championships!
USHJA Zones 7 & 8 Riders in Zone 7 Can choose to compete in a contiguous zone championship either Zone 3/4 or Zone 5/6 Zone Jumper Team Championships or the 5/6 Zone Jumper Championship.
Qualifying Start Date: August 31, 2021 Application Deadline and Qualifying Ends: June 12, 2022
The Emerson Burr Horsemanship Grant is awarded at the Zone and National level. Each winner at the zone level will receive a $100 grant to be used towards educational or equestrian related expenses. Junior riders competing in pony classes are eligible to participate in this program. Learn more and find a competition in your zone.

In preparation of the upcoming show season, Arkansas Hunter Jumper Association hosted Tricia Booker co-author of "Judging Hunters and Equitation WTF? (Want the Facts)" for an educational talk. Tricia discussed with the membership highlights from her book on what judges are looking for when judging hunter rounds and equitation rounds. There was a great turnout for the discussion with over 60 people in attendance. Tricia provided important information we can all use to score our best when entering the ring!
