Green Hunter Incentive horses may compete in two Green Hunter Incentive Regional Championships of their choice and must be enrolled. International Hunter Derby horses may compete in two International Hunter Derby Regional Championships of their choice and must be enrolled. Horses must have competed in one International Hunter Derby class during the current competition year to compete in an International Hunter Derby Regional Championship.
The Virginia Pony Breeders Association's Annual Benefit Horse Show was held on April 23. The highest scoring Registered Virginia bred pony at the 2022 VPBA Benefit Horse Show was Big Bad Bunny, owned and ridden by Aubrey Jones of Frederick, Maryland. The 14-year-old Welsh/Thoroughbred bay mare was bred by Leslie Van Sant of Middleburg, Virginia, and is by Otteridge Foxtrot x Kate by Smart Alec.
