$100,000 WCHR Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular Results

Holding the lead throughout two rounds of competition against the best Hunters in the country, Geoffrey Hesslink and Little Brook LLC’s Mon Tresor triumphed in the $100,000 World Championship Hunter Rider Peter Wetherill Palm Beach Hunter Spectacular on Saturday, February 19, at the 2022 Winter Equestrian Festival.

Catch Me and Mimi Gochman were second with Lafitte De Muze and Amanda Steege in third. 

Outreach Member Highlight: Sadie Strandberg

Sadie Strandberg of Hillsborough, New Jersey, competed in the USHJA Outreach Short Stirrup Equitation and Short Stirrup Hunter sections. 

What did you enjoy about participating in the Outreach program in 2021?

I have enjoyed the new friends that I made at different shows.

Tell us how you got involved in the sport.

My family had horses so I was born loving horses and riding.

What’s your favorite riding memory?

Leasing my first pony.

What are riding goals for this year?

Moving up to 2’ with my new pony.

What do you enjoy most about the USHJA community?

Showing with friends.

RRA Lesson Horse Honor Roll Announced

The USHJA Recognized Riding Academy Committee would like to announce the creation of the RRA Lesson Horse Honor Roll! The Honor Roll seeks to acknowledge the very special lesson horses and ponies who unwaveringly devote their lives to teaching equestrians the art of riding. Nominations open March 1!
