2023 Host Applications Due June 1
Online applications for competition managers wishing to offer USHJA championships, special classes and other programs at the zone, education and national levels are now open. Host applications will close June 1, 2022.

Low Children’s Hunter and Low Adult Amateur Hunter divisions have been added to the USHJA Zone HOTY Program! For exhibitor points to count, competition managers must:
Include the language from the Zone specifications for the "Low Children's Hunter" or "Low Adult Amateur Hunter" in the section description
OR list "This section follows Zone [Number] Specifications"
Include Zone specifications in the prize list
Section titles must read Low or Pre Children's Hunter and Low or Pre Adult Amateur Hunter.
Competition managers may submit any questions to Zones@ushja.org.
Please Note: Low Hunter classics cannot be combined with other Hunter classics. The classics must follow the same zone specifications as the regular section.
Hosting an Outreach Competition? What You Need to Know for the New
USHJA Outreach and Affiliate Championship – East
Qualifying begins on June 16, 2022, for the inaugural 2023 USHJA Outreach and Affiliate Championship – East! Encourage your Outreach riders to qualify for this new championship opportunity and grow your Outreach competitions today.
To qualify:
Zones 1 and 3-12 Riders: Earn a ribbon in at least one Outreach competition
Zone 2 Riders: Earn a ribbon in two Outreach competitions
USHJA Affiliates: Nominate up to three riders per Affiliate section
Quick Tip: Be sure to use a PDF format or Excel document for all required declaration forms. Individual JPEG files will not be accepted.
Hunter Breeding Designation
All 'R' Hunter judges are eligible for and encouraged to add the Hunter Breeding designation to their license by attending a USHJA Hunter Breeding Clinic! Two clinic opportunities remain this year. See the full clinic calendar.
FYI: Important Update to IHD Enrollment Information
The Enrollment Fee for the USHJA International Hunter Derby program is $450 for the entire 2022 competition year. Horses must be enrolled in the program to compete. Exception: Exhibitors may show in a maximum of one class in the series without enrollment.
Clarify in your results if the class was combined, junior or adult;
Classes may be combined with Juniors to fill either section; simply note the riders' section on your results to USEF
